AUS Spicy Shrimp Cocktail

    • 1 pound medium shrimp deveined and cooked. Peel and chop into bite size pieces.
    • 2 medium tomatoes chopped fine
    • 1 small onion chopped fine
    • 1 small serrano pepper chopped fine
    • 1 jalapeño pepper chopped fine
    • 2 small avocados chopped into chunks
    • chopped cilantro (to taste)
    • 1 celery rib chopped fine
    • 1 Tbsp "Suzi Q's Santa Maria Style" seasoning
    • 1 tsp freshly ground pepper
    • 1 can of tomato sauce
    • 1 (12 oz) can of V8 hot and spicy
    • 2 limes
    • Large tortilla chips (optional)


    • In a medium sized bowl, add shrimp, tomatoes, onions, peppers, avocados, cilantro, and celery.
    • Slowly mix together until shrimp are completely coated.
    • In a separate bowl add seasoning, ground pepper, and both cans together, stirring slowly.
    • Mix the two bowls together and then squeeze 1 lime into mixture.      
    • Spoon shrimp mixture into Martini glasses and garnish with a lime.
    • Large corn tortilla chips are a nice accompaniment. 
    • Serve with Zaca Mesa Viognier.
